As an American I am ashamed to see such a phrase. America has always been for equality, and just recently we have started to achieve such a thing. The main difference between a Civil Union and a Marriage is that a Marriage is a covenant made to the Lord; while a Civil Union is a contract with the government. Since in the Bible it states that when making this covenant to the Lord, marriage is to be only between one man and one woman. I also want to know if they bothered to make sure the 'suicidal' gays weren't aids positive. Someone with a life-threatening disease having suicidal thoughts is a lot different from someone without it. No one questions the premise that homosexuality and heterosexuality are the same in terms of the effects on the individual. As for legislating morality, we try to avoid legislating morals and instead legislate based on facts and how things affect society. Other countries legislate things like telling women they have to be covered head to toe. That fits in with their 'morals'. And that's the problem. Morals are subjective. Catholics think divorced people shouldn't marry, yet we allow divorcees to get civil marriages. We can't push one set of morals based on opinion. That infringes on our freedom of choice.

Levi(PIR) If you take a close look at Guarani language it did not come from japan or siberia but from ancient israel from the israelites who keep there language with diffrent dealect today. The bothers and sisters of indian & negro decent from paraguay are of that ancient line of royalty. Asher which means happy becuase the people in Paraguay are happy sprited people as well as the negro decent people which are not African thay either come from Benjamin or Levi

@xavimadrile es verdad xavimadrile perdon por ser tonto y no googlear como cualquier mortal ya que lamentablemente no tengo informacion de primera mano acerca de la legislacion de los paises mencionados, y me remito a mis escuetos conocimientos. BTW thank you @regalar1986 for your kind explanation. I still believe though that the most representative bilingual culture in South America is the Guarani culture (mostly in Paraguay but also in Arg and Br regions where Guarani is spoken by natives).

Dan Choi should be in Leavenworth right now. He is a disgrace to the Army and he should repay every cent the Army paid for his education and training. Too bad Choi chose the 1971 John Kerry loser protestor motif instead of the 2004 John Kerry lost the election but has a billion dollar trust so who cares motif. Doesn't anyone get it? @wheelchair89 british army magazine recently had its first openly gay coverstar. i cant remember his name but it was a great moment in moving towards equality. i truely hope america reaches this stage soon. a soldier is a soldier because they choose toprotect those that need protecting, regardless or sexuality race or creed. and the sooner people reconise this in countrys across the world the better.

All I have to say is really? Really? Rally's in uniform. Imo this individual has less to do with activism and more to do with a personal, possibly political agenda.. hence going on national tv on a show knowing he'd be discharged.. and again with going to a political rally in uniform.
